The New Ford Focus RS coming in 2009. it will be most predictable hot hatch of the year. It has massive performance figures stands at 220KW compared to 166KW for the XR5 and the 5 cylinder turbocharged engine which gives peak torque of 410Nm. The early performance test conducted by FORD says that it gives an acceleration of 100 Km/h in less than 6 Sec which is excellent. It is a small hatch with tremendous engine power could be the best choice for anyone who is in to speed and style. Moreover Ford has also developed a unique front suspension setup, an innovative system is designed to reduce unwanted steering disturbance and torque steer apparently eliminating the need for AWD, which is a new invention for performance vehicles.

  1. I still can’t figure out why Ford won’t implement something like this in the American market. The Mustang is a joke compared to similarly priced imports and there obviously is a demand for such a compact sports car. We gobble up the WRX, GTI, Civic SI, etc… but we cant get a decent American-made sport compact. I guess they are afraid of losing Mustang and Mazdaspeed business.

    Take a look at the 08-09 Ford Mustang GT’s… My first hand experience was extremely poorly designed interior, no trunk space, and lots of fake exterior detailing. (plastic glued on hood scoop anyone?) I thought it was supposed to be their flagship car.
