Kia Motors has given the Magentis a mild facelift as the current model features new bumpers, grille, headlamps, fog lamps, and side garnish. The redesigned interior now has a new center fascia and door panels. The engines also get a power boost, with 13 horsepower and 5 lb-ft of torque added to the four-cylinder, and an additional 9 horsepower and 2 lb-ft of torque in the V6.

The current Kia Magentis is available in two engine variants: the 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder, or the 2.7-liter V6. The base 2.4-liter LX is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The Magentis comes in a number of trim levels: the LX, LX Premium and LX Leather with the four-cylinder, and LX-V6 and LX-V6 Luxury with the six-cylinder. The LX gets 16-inch steel wheels, tilt wheel with audio controls, cruise control, power windows, power locks with keyless entry, CD player, variable intermittent wipers, heated cloth seats and 60/40 split-folding rear seat. For safety, the Magentis comes with standard anti-whiplash front head restraints, traction control and electronic stability control.

The LX Premium adds eight-way power driver’s seat, tilt/telescopic wheel, fog lamps, power sunroof and 16-inch alloy wheels. The LX Leather gets additional leather upholstery and leather-wrapped wheel, black headlamp bezels, aluminum interior accents and a sport mesh grille. The LX-V6 Luxury gets a lot of perks including 17-inch alloy wheels, Sirius satellite radio, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped tilt/telescopic wheel, eight-way power driver’s seat, power sunroof, power-adjustable pedals, solar glass, backlit LED temperature display, auto-dimming rearview mirror, garage door opener, digital compass and electric stability control. Now you know why Kia called this one the LX-V6 Luxury!
